介詞at/in/on/to表示地點時的區別：
at、on、in這三個介詞除了表示時間外，還可以表示地點。下面連同高頻詞彙to一起講講他們用法的一些區別。
at 強調點，on 強調面，in 強調在裡面,to 則是表示範圍外，具體區別如下：
at主要用在：
(1) at通常指小地方,如：home,school
(2) at通常所指範圍不太明顯，表示“在……附近，旁邊”
Mrs. Jones is at home Thursdays.瓊斯太太每星期四在家接待客人
The ball is at the corner.球擱在角落裡
in主要用在：
(1)in通常指大地方,如：London,Beijing
(2) 在內部；還可以表示“在…範圍之內”（是從屬關係）
I live in a great city big city and my sister lives at a small town 我住在大城市，我姐姐住在一個小城鎮
The ball is in the box. 球在盒子裡
Shenzhen lies in the south of China 深圳在中國的南部(深圳屬於中國內部）
on主要用在：
(1)on主要指“在……之上”，強調和表面接觸，如on the ground
(2)表示毗鄰，接壤（是相鄰關係）
He put his watch on the desk 他把手錶放在桌子上
Canada lies on the north of America 加拿大在美國的北邊(與美國接壤）
【注意】over也可以表示“在......上方”，但是指一物體與另一物體不接觸，如：
There is a light over the desk．桌子上方有一盞燈（桌子和燈不接觸）
There is a light on the desk.桌子上有盞檯燈。（桌子與燈接觸）
to 主要用在：
(1)to主要表示“在……範圍外”，強調不接壤，不相鄰；
(2)“到達……”
Haikou lies to the south of Guangzhou 海南在廣州的那邊（與廣州不相鄰）
I will go to school. 我將去學校
【活學活用】1. on the tree／in the tree都譯為“......在樹上”。他們有什麼區別呢？
2.on the wall／in the wall都譯為“在牆上”，他們又有什麼區別呢？
答案：1.on the tree表示樹上本身所長著的葉子、花、果實等；而in the tree表示某物或某人在樹上。
2.on強調”在……表面“，如圖畫、黑板、風箏等“在牆上”，是因為它們在牆的表面上，所以用on the wall；to強調”在……裡面“，如門窗、釘子、洞、孔等“在牆上”，是因為它們在牆的裡面，故用in the wall
