real estate
real estate中文翻译为“房地产”。是一个法律用语，包含land(土地)、building（建筑物）、fences(围墙)、wells(并)及这块土地上一切无法搬动的建筑物。我们说 real estate指的是房屋及房屋下面的那块土地,如果我们买的是 apartment(公寓),就不包括建造 apartment所在的那块地。目前我们在买卖 real estate时,大部分会通过 real estate agent(房地产经纪人)来帮忙处理。

open house的中文翻译为“开放参观日”,是指开放参观某场所。在这里 open house有展示(屋)的用法,指的是 homeowner(房主)或 real estate agent(房地产经纪人)让想买房子的人进到房屋内参观。open的中文解释有“开放的;开阔的”的意思。与open相关的短语有:open door(对外开放)、 open-air(露天的)、 open day(开放日)、 open hours(营业时间)、 open-air concert(露天演唱会)、 open letter(公开信)等
listing price
listing price中文翻译为“标价”,指的是物品的上市价,亦即 retail price(建议零售价).price为“价钱;价格”的意思。我们常说一件物品的成本价格是多少,英文为 cost price,等同于 asking price或 selling price在商场常常看到 half-price,其中文意思为“半价出售”。在买房子时, buyer(买方)向seer(卖方)提出自己的 offer price(欲支付的价格),如果卖方接受这个价格的话,那这个价格就成为 closing price(成交价)。
