⑴ as …as possible（儘可能…）≈ as …as sb. can （盡某人所能…）
例句：He must work as hard as possible/he can.
翻譯：他必須儘可能努力地工作。
⑵ as usual（和往常一樣）≠usually（通常）
例句：As usual, he got up at 6:00 this morning.
翻譯：跟往常一樣，他今天早上六點起了床。
例句：Usually, he gets up at 6:00 in the morning, but he got up late this morning.
翻譯：通常，他早上六點起床，但是他今早起晚了。
⑶ so as to（為了…，句中）≈in order to （為了…，句首句中）
例句：In order to catch the first subway, he has to get up early.
=He has to get up early, so as to catch the first subway.
翻譯：為了趕上第一班地鐵，他不得不早起。
⑷ such as（例如，不加逗號）≠for example （例如，加逗號）
例句：He has many dreams, such as getting a promotion, finding a girlfriend and buying a house in Beijing.
翻譯：他有很多夢想，例如升職，找個女友，在北京買套房。
例句：He has many dreams. For example, he dreams of buying a house in Beijing.
翻譯：他有很多夢想。例如，他夢想在北京買套房。
⑸ as a matter of fact=in fact（事實上，實際上）
例句：As a matter of fact, his dream is hard to realize.
翻譯: 事實上，他的夢想很難實現。
⑹ as a result/consequence（因此，表結果）≠ as a result/consequence of（因為，表原因）
例句：He can't afford to buy a house. As a result, he has decided to leave for his hometown.
翻譯：他買不起房。因此，他已經決定回老家去了。
例句：As a result of high house price, he has decided to leave for his hometown.
翻譯：由於高房價，他已經決定回老家去了。
⑺ as above（如上所述）≠ as follows （如下所述）
例句：As above, he is a young man struggling in Beijing.
翻譯：如上所述，他是一個在北京奮鬥的年輕人。
⑻ as for=as to（關於…，說到…）
例句：As for Beijing, the first word he thought of is "Beipiao".
翻譯：說到北京，他想到的第一個詞就是“北漂”。
⑼ as early as+時間（早在…）as many as+數量（多達…）
例句：As early as 2008, as many as half of his colleagues chose to leave Beijing.
翻譯：早在2008年，他的同事中有多達一半選擇了離開北京。
⑽ as far as I’m concerned （在我看來）≈ as far as I know（據我所知）
例句：As far as I'm concerned, this city doesn't offer many opportunities to the young.
翻譯：在我看來，這座城市沒有為年輕人提供太多機會。
⑾ as long as= so long as （只要…，表條件）
例句：As long as you can't afford a house in Beijing, it's difficult for you to settle down here.
翻譯：只要你買不起房，很難在這定居。
⑿ as well as （還有…，就前原則）≠ as well（也，句末）
例句：He, as well as his many colleagues, has decided to leave.
翻譯：他，還有他的很多同事，已經決定離開了。
例句：Half of his colleagues have left. He has decided to leave as well.
翻譯：他的一半同事已經走了。他也已經決定離開了。
