It's the offseason so I wanna get yall's opinion on this.
Assuming PG would be down to come to the Rockets, would you do this trade? OKC would get back a complimentary piece to go along with Westbrook who I think would be a better fit for their squad.

Paul George is just as good a shooter as eric gordon. Eric is a good defender. Paul George is also very good but longer and even better for this system. It means ariza is a bench player. Holy cow!! The defensive switching we could do and sacrifice zero offense would be ludicrous.

Paul George has better percentages, is by far the better player, although I think Gordon is a fiercer competitor when it matters.

I LOVED what I saw from EG against GS. That dude wanted it so bad and he stepped up big time. Which is would make it really hard, but the answer is yes. Paul George is a 2nd tier star that would make us the favorites IMO.
If LeBron turns us down, PG is the next move.

And btw, just thinking about this, in this scenario George would get maxed the year after at a starting salary of 35M i think, that's almost three times what Gordon is making, i love George as a player, but i wonder if that would be really worth it...what kind of player we could get with those 20M while keeping Gordon? EG can be replaced. PG is one of the best players in the league. Can you imagine the death lineups the Rockets could run out there with George, CP3, Harden, Tucker, and any 5th player?

EG has been great for the Rockets. And I have appreciated what he has done defensively as much as his offense. But let's get real here. George is an All NBA Player. An All Star. An All defensive type player. This is the league of "switchable swingman." If you can get George (who is still young at 28) then you have to do it.
EG would be tough to lose. I wouldn't be happy about it. But the return is so great, you have to do it.
Honestly, EG is a great fit in OKC. And it gives OKC a "re do" after trading Oladipo. With OKC's cap situation, if they can get EG for PG or get NOTHING with PG walking, I would have to think they would jump at getting EG.

Paul George fills a similar role as Ariza. Luc and, to a lesser extent, PJ. He's better than all of those players, for sure, but he is similar.
Gordon is not a point guard, but he is able to do some ballhandling/playmaking and is really our only option for that behind Harden and CP.
So George, while an upgrade, would be a little bit redundant on our team.

I don't think it's going to happen, but in a scenario where the Thunder either
1. lose Paul George, are completely capped out and ride with Russ, Adams, Roberson and a bunch of scrubs
2. Exchange PG for Gordon and Ryno, restoring a TON of balance in their roster and scoring ability
I think they'd choose option 2. Ryno is a negative asset, but he'd absolutely get plenty of minutes on the OKC roster, they really wouldn't have a better option.

2、用泡椒換鵜鶘兄弟，這會讓他們陣容更平衡，還能提升火力。站神也許算作負資產，但他絕對能撈到很多上場時間，他們可能真沒更好的選擇了。
A better question might be: what if OKC wanted Gordon AND Tucker....would you still do the deal? Not sure on that one.

My heart says "hell no", but my head says "eh"...reality is, even if we trade PJ we can still keep Trevor and Luc, with George we would have three solid forwards able to play the 4, but tbh, i'm not sure i'd do that, Gordon and PJ have been great for us, perfect players for our team, great contracts too.

Tough call for me. I really, really like Tucker, and he's signed to a great deal. I lean towards Gordon and a 1st round pick as a "its better than nothing" offer. I'm not sure we are a better team if we lose both Tucker and Gordon.
I look at it this way...if Lebron commits, Im absolutely willing to throw Gordon and Tucker into the trade pot. Lebron can easily play the 4/5 to replace Tucker's minutes and he can more than takeover for Gordon's playmaking.
Either way, I'm interested to see how we replace Gordon. Can we finally convince Llull to come over? If not, will Reddick accept the taxpayer MLE to go for a ring?
