rise, arise, raise, arouse的區別
rise, arise是不及物動詞；raise, arouse是及物動詞。
（1）rise (rose, risen) vi. 上升，升起，升高；上漲
說明主語自身移向較高位置，常用於日、月、雲、霧、煙、蒸汽、溫度、物價等，無被動語態。如：
The moon has risen above the hills. 月亮已經從山上升起。
（2）arise (arose, arisen) vi.（問題，困難等）出現；發生，產生；主語一般為抽象名詞，如problem, trouble, quarrel, difficulty, misunderstanding, disagreement。常用短語：arise from / out of sth.由……引起；因……產生。如：
They are talking about problems arising out of the lack of communication.
他們正在談論由於缺乏交流而產生的問題。
（3）raise vt. 招募；養育，栽培；提高；舉起；說明主語發出的動作是要作用於其他事物的，往往有使物體達到其應有的高度的含義。可用於被動語態。如：
招募：to raise an army 養育、栽培：to raise a child
提高工資、租金：raise salaries/ the rent
舉起手：raise one’s hand 提出問題：raise a question
（4）arouse意為“激起，喚醒；使……奮發”，可用於被動語態。如：
He was aroused from his sleep by the doorbell. 門鈴聲把他從睡眠中喚醒。
