Stauskas is a pretty great example of why the Kings suck.
The owner forced the team to pick him, seemingly because he made a bunch of threes out of 100. The team even decided to film this meddling and create a documentary to show their own incompetence.
He had three coaches in his first season. The third of those coaches was George Karl, who was a train wreck.
Boogie Cousins bullied him relentlessly and tried to fight him multiple times. Boogie has to be the worst star to have as your leader by far. Instead of helping out the rook, he supposedly tried to ruin him.
He was part of one of the dumbest trades in the history of the NBA. The Kings sent him, filler, a first, and swap rights for two drafts so they could sign Rondo for a season.
So Stauskas represents monumental failures by the owner, coaching staff, star player, and front office. That's brutally incompetent from the whole organization.

考辛斯“永不停歇”地欺負斯陶斯卡斯，還屢次三番地想和他幹架。考辛斯絕對是目前為止最爛的領袖級球星。他不但沒有幫助球隊的菜鳥，反而想法要毀了別人。
斯陶斯卡斯還是NBA史上最愚蠢交易之一的參與者。國王（2015年）把他和一個首輪籤、兩個首輪互換籤，再加上一點添頭送出去，只是為了以一年合約簽下隆多……
所以說啊，斯陶斯卡斯代表著國王的老闆、教練團隊、明星球員和管理層的里程碑式失敗。整個球隊都爛到家了。

Well the Maloofs were sabotaging the team and trading assets for straight cash. It wasn’t until 2012 I think when we got Vivek. But he has no idea what he’s doing and he wants to run shit like he would run one of his tech businesses.
Ever since I moved back to Sac I’m 2013 and started paying attention again in earnest, this is what has happened:
Trade Isaiah for a trade exception and rights to a foreign player who never came over. Fire the only coach Cousins liked because the GM at the time didn’t like him and found a BS excuse to can him Trade unprotected FIRST ROUND PICK FOR CAP SPACE Cousins trade
In general, bad asset management, even worse talent evaluations. So many picks of players who weren’t NBA material and a refusal to acknowledge that. Shit, Ben McLemore is back on the fucking team.
And then there’s this: a complete lack of understanding of the modern NBA. A roster of all bigs and guards with no decent wings above 6’5.”

自打我2013年回到薩克拉門託之後，就開始再度認真關注國王隊，然後就有了這些糟心事兒：
一個交易特例和一個此後從未登入NBA的外國球員的簽約權，他們把小托馬斯送走了。僅僅因為當時的總經理不喜歡，他就解僱了考辛斯唯一正眼相看的主教練，還找了個稀爛的藉口。接著他們又為了所謂的薪資空間送走了不受保護的首輪籤，最後還把考辛斯放走了。
一句話，國王的資產管理一團亂，更差的還是人才評估能力。選了很多球員甚至都不是打NBA的料，然後球隊還拒不承認。沃日，麥克勒莫又回到這逼隊。
再有就是：對現代NBA的理解全方位匱乏。陣容裡全都是大個和後衛，連一個實用的6尺5以上的側翼都沒得！
這純粹是一幫飯桶。

The Timberwolves made the playoffs for the first time since 2004 last year.
I don't think it's a coincidence that these teams are both in the West. The Suns missed the playoffs a few years ago at ~48 wins.
Boogie was/is a great player, but he didn't help the culture, yet he was good enough to keep the Kings picking out of the top 5. SAC has been through some shit over the last decade+, it feels like they finally have a young core in Fox/Bagley/Hield/Giles and whoever else I'm forgetting. They have a chance to be a playoff team in a year or two.
