“改天吧”
這個中文裡用來婉拒他人的萬能句
那英文裡應該怎麼說？
是 the other day 還是 another day 呢？
還是 "change another day" ？
如果你今天沒空，想說改天，就可以說：
How about another day？
Maybe some other time.
“改天”其實還有個特別的俚語表達，take a rain check，這個短語是來自美國的棒球文化，如果棒球比賽中因惡劣天氣而不得不終止，官方將會給觀眾發一張rain check，憑這張券就可以觀看下一次的比賽。
所以 take a rain check，也就有了改天的意思。
Thank you, but I have to take a rain check on your invitation.
謝謝你，但很抱歉我不能接受你的邀請，改天吧。

the other day≠改天
the other day = not long ago，意思是幾天前、不久以前。而another day意思是改天、又一天、新的一天。
活到明天就可以說live to see / fight another day。
The other day, he cut the grass on his samll lawn.
幾天前，他才修理完院子裡的草坪。
white day≠白天
white day 才不是白天的意思呢？實際上 white day = White Valentine s Day，是白色情人節的縮寫。還可以表示良辰吉日，white 是幸福的、吉利的意思。
白天正確的表達方式是 by day，夜裡就是 by night。要注意，加了 the 意思就變了！by the day 是
按天計算，隨著時間的意思。They chose a white day to marry their daughter to Tom.
他們挑選了一個吉日把女兒嫁給了湯姆。
今天幾號怎麼說？
What day is it today？和 What s the date today?這兩個問日子的問法，大家要注意區分哦！
What day is it today？是問今天是周幾，day 前面是沒有the；而 What s the date today? 是問今天幾號，date 前面一定要加 the 哦！
如果問今天是什麼節日就可以說：What holiday is it today？
What day is it today? Today is Monday.
今天是星期幾？週一。
What is the date today ? lt s 10th June.
今天是幾號呀？6月10號。
