“宅在家裡”的英文

Stay at home和stay home非常直白，表示“呆在家裡”，偏向主動選擇宅在家裡的感覺。這裡要注意，有沒有介詞“at”都是正確的用法——在stay at home中，home為名詞；在stay home中，home則是副詞。
例句： I’d rather stay at home than go out.
我寧願呆在家裡也不願出去散步。
She likes to stay at home, but her husband is a bit of a gay dog.
她喜歡呆在家裡，但她的丈夫是個有點愛好社交生活的人。

confine /kənˈfaɪn/ 有兩個意思
①to limit an activity, person, or problem in some way 把…侷限在，限制

②to keep someone closed in a place, often by force
(常指強制)關押，監禁，禁閉

人質被關押了那麼久，以致於他們對外面的世界一時適應不了。
