然而，這邊首相剛呼籲完，約翰遜的老父親斯坦利就上電視“拆臺”了，這對臺戲唱的
Boris Johnson’s father has said he will still go to the pub despite official government advice to avoid non-essential contact due to the coronavirus pandemic.
His comments came less than a day after his son, the prime minister, urged the British public to “avoid pubs, clubs, theatres and other such social venues” to slow the spread of Covid-19.
Stanley Johnson’s refusal to follow the warning was especially notable as the government said its advice was particularly important for people over the age of 70 and Mr Johnson is 79.
近期，英國首相約翰遜的父親斯坦利·約翰遜 (Stanley Johnson) 作為嘉賓在英國ITV電視臺節目《This Morning》中亮相。
節目中，主持人問斯坦利是否還會去酒吧時，斯坦利一臉確定地表示：

斯坦利表示：

很快，當兒子的鮑里斯在新冠肺炎疫情的記者發佈會上，被cue到了老父親的這番話

而沒過兩天，當地時間3月20日，英國首相鮑里斯·約翰遜下令無限期關閉全國的酒吧、餐廳、劇院、電影院、體育館等公共場所，以阻止新冠病毒疫情蔓延。
