四姐妹中，最小的那位即幺妹峰，是四姑娘山中海拔最高、最陡峭的一座，海拔6250米。只有世界上最勇敢的攀登者才敢应战。南坡悬挂着巨大的冰川并一直延伸到山脚。西坡和北坡则是陡峭的岩壁，令人望而生畏。迄今为止，幺妹峰的登顶记录只有11次，日本队和美国队各两次，英国队、法国队、俄罗斯队各一次，中国队四次登顶。
Out of the Four Sisters, the youngest one—the Yaomei Peak, is the highest and the steepest of them all, with an altitude of 6250 meters. Only the bravest climbers around the world dare to take the challenge. There are glaciers hanging on the southern slope and extending to the foot of the mountain. The western and northern slope are formed by the daunting steep rocks. So far, the summit record for the Yaomei peak is only 11 times. The Japanese and the American made it twice each. The British, the French and the Russian teams made it once each and the Chinese team reached the top for four times.
