範曾，字十翼，別署抱衝齋主，江蘇南通人，中國當代大儒、思想家、國學大師、書畫巨匠、文學家、詩人。現為北京大學中國畫法研究院院長、講席教授，中國藝術研究院終身研究員，南開大學、南通大學惟一終身教授，聯合國教科文組織“多元文化特別顧問”，英國格拉斯哥大學名譽文學博士，加拿大阿爾伯塔大學榮譽文學博士。
Fan Zeng, with ten wings, was born in Nantong, Jiangsu Province. He is a great scholar, thinker, sinologist, painter, litterateur and poet. At present, he is the president and Chair Professor of the Chinese Academy of painting, Peking University, lifelong researcher of the Chinese Academy of art, the only lifelong professor of Nankai University and Nantong University, the "special adviser for multiculturalism" of UNESCO, the honorary doctor of literature of the University of Glasgow and the honorary doctor of literature of the University of Alberta.
此幅畫中老者，思緒交融，表現出深謀遠慮，從容沉穩。少年用色鮮活神采奕奕，在範曾大師的筆下都被刻畫的入木三分。把近景中景完美融合，使整個畫面顯得渾厚華滋。人物表現依然是範大師的典型風格，以線為主，略加暈染，面部表情生動祥和。竹葉用線用墨明顯加重，與人物拉開距離，如此以墨色表現質感的手法實數罕見。畫面構圖爽利，墨氣淋漓，一揮而就，氣韻流轉。其用墨皆隨筆而上，淡處如薄霧，濃處如雙眸炯秀。畫中細節，安排得合情合理， 疏密、繁簡、動靜、聚散等畫面關係，處理得恰到好處，達到繁而不雜，多而不亂。充分體現出作者在畫壇的藝術成就，令人歎為觀止。藏品線條清細，色彩豔麗清雅，體態優美，造型準確；亦工寫意人物，筆簡意賅，饒有意趣。從人物開臉、線條、畫風以及落款來看屬於本人的作品，可以說構圖、填色及畫風來看都非常不錯。
In this painting, the old man's thoughts blend, showing foresight and calm. Young people are full of color and energy, which are all depicted in master fan Zeng's works. The perfect integration of the close-up midrange makes the whole picture appear thick and colorful. The performance of the characters is still the typical style of master fan, with lines as the main part, slight halo and dye, and vivid and peaceful facial expression. The use of thread and ink on bamboo leaves is obviously increased, and the distance between bamboo leaves and characters is widened. It is rare to use ink to express texture. The composition of the picture is crisp, the ink is incisive, and the air is flowing with a wave. The ink is used with the pen, light as mist, thick as eyes. The details in the painting are arranged reasonably. The relationships among the pictures, such as density, complexity, movement and stillness, gathering and scattering, are handled properly, so that they are complex but not miscellaneous, many but not disorderly. It fully reflects the author's artistic achievements in the field of painting, which is amazing. The line of the collection is clear and thin, the color is gorgeous and elegant, the posture is beautiful, and the modeling is accurate; it also works to write freehand figures, and the pen is concise and comprehensive, which is interesting. It can be said that the composition, color filling and painting style of my works are very good from the perspective of character face, line, painting style and signing.
