四六級閱讀選項原則
我們翻閱了歷年四六級真題，發現四六級閱讀題的正確選項有一些共同的特徵。pong友們在幾個選項間猶豫不決時，不妨參考以下幾個原則：
1.位置對應原則
大部分情況下正確選項往往與問題在同一段。定位了問題以後，可選擇在同一段裡出現的選項
例：2016.6四級
48. Why does the driverless
car appeal to some old people?
A) It saves their energy.
B) It helps with their mobility.
C) It adds to the safety of their travel.
D) It stirs up their interest in life.
我們從這道題的關鍵詞“appeal”和"old people可迅速定位到第四段第三句話。
Older adults，especially those with limited mobility or difficulty driving on their own, are one of the classic usecases for driverless car. （年長的人，尤其是那些行為受限或開車有困難的人，是無人駕駛汽車典型的用戶群體之一。）
四個選項中，只有B選項“mobility”也在這段中出現了。因此，這道題選擇B。
2.相對語氣原則
該原則表達的是四六級真題正確選項設置中，語氣越委婉，表達留有餘地的往往是正確答案。
相對語氣詞常見的有：may/might/could/not all/not every
例：2010·四級
What is the finding of the Canadian researchers?
A) Encouraging positive thinking may do more harm than good.
B) There can be no simple therapy for psychological problems.
C) Unhappy people cannot think positively.
D) The power of positive thinking is limited.
根據問題的關鍵詞“Canadian researchers”可定位到原文第二段。
Researchers in Canada just published a study in the journal Psychological Science that says trying to get people to think more positively can actually have the opposite effect: it can simply highlight how unhappy they are.
選項A中的may（可能）表達語氣委婉，故本題在選擇時，首先甄別A選項。
根據題幹信息，定位到文章第二段第一句可知，加拿大研究者發表的研究有說明，讓人們積極思考會帶來相反的效果：這是在強調他們有多不開心，而這正是選項A的內容，故本題正選最終鎖定選項A。
3.同義替換原則
該原則表述的是正確選項在設置時一般不會直接摘抄原文，往往通過近義詞替換、簡化替換、詞性替換等方式對原文進行改寫。但中文意思與原文接近。
例：2006·四級
How did the immigrants in Salt Lake City feel about “Operation Safe Travel”?
A） Guilty 有罪
B） Offended 激怒
C） Disappointed 失望
D） Discouraged 不鼓勵
對應原文：
Many immigrants in Salt Lake City were angered by the arrests and said they felt as if they were being treated like disposable goods.
本題中選項B中的offended是對原文angered的近義詞替換，屬於同義替換原則，故正選答案為B。
