- Sorry I didn't phone.
- Forget it.

Forget it! It is no use talking about that.
算了，再討論那個沒什麼用。
forget it 還可以表示：
別說了，省省吧〔表示厭煩〕
I'm not coming with you, so forget it.
我不跟你去，別說了。
forget it：
算了〔不想重複剛剛說過的話〕
‘What did you say?’ ‘Nothing, just forget it.’
“你說什麼？”“沒什麼，算了。”

forget about it的意思是：
忘記吧，不要再想了。
Forget about it! She doesn't deserve your compassion.
忘了這件事吧，她不值得你的同情。
We need bread, milk, and eggs – don't forget.
我們需要麵包、牛奶和雞蛋——可別忘了。

forgive and forget是什麼意思呢？
這個短語的意思是：
既往不咎、不計前嫌。
例：
We must learn to forgive and forget because life is not easy for any of us.
我們必須學會忘記和原諒，因為生活對於我們每個人來說都是不易的。
They may forget what you said, but it is not easy for them to forgive and forget because they can not forget about how you make them feel.
他們也許會忘記你說過的話，但是他們不會輕易釋懷，因為他們無法忘掉你對他們造成的傷害。
