隕石是大自然散落的美，是無聲的詩，是不朽的畫，古往今來許多的文人雅士都與隕石結下了不解之緣，隕石，被稱為“天外來石”。據資料統計,每年墜落到地球上的隕石不計其數，但大多數隕石墜入海洋及沙漠地帶，被人們知曉和收集到的非常之少，寥寥無幾，粗略統計每年約有500顆隕石撞入地球，能找到的僅20顆，因此極為稀有和昂貴。
