中國生肖（Chinese Zodiac Sign）真是難熬啊，要等到自己的本命年，少年都熬成了中年。

The rat is the first of the repeating 12-year cycle of animals which appear in the Chinese zodiac, constituting part of the Chinese calendar system. The Chinese word “鼠” may refer to rats, mice or other rodent-type animals.
鼠是中國十二生肖每12年出現一次的動物中的第一隻，也構成了中國曆法體系的一部分。漢語中的“鼠”可以指老鼠或其他齧齒類動物。

鼠年的神話傳說
其實，鼠排在十二生肖第一位，還有個神話傳說：
According to one myth, the Jade Emperor said the order would be decided by the order in which they arrived to his party. The rat tricked the ox into giving him a ride. Then, just as they arrived at the finish line, the rat jumped down and landed ahead of the ox, becoming first.
有神話故事是這麼說的：玉皇大帝說，生肖的順序將由它們到達宴會的順序來決定。鼠哄騙牛載它一程，就在他們要到達終點線時，鼠從牛背上跳了下來，落在牛的前面，成為第一個到達宴會的動物。
鼠年生人性格特徵
據稱，鼠年生人也有他們的共有性格特徵：
Optimistic and energetic, people born in the Year of the Rat are likable by all. They are sensitive to other people’s emotions but are stubborn with opinions. Their personality is kind, but due to relatively weak communication skills, their words may seem impolite and rude.
鼠年出生的人，樂觀、精力充沛，很討人喜歡。他們對別人的情緒很敏感，但對自己的意見也很固執。他們性格善良，但由於溝通技巧相對欠缺，他們說的話可能會顯得不中聽、不禮貌。
