I Can’t See Spring

One day, there was a blind man sitting on the steps of a building (建築物) with a sign (指示牌) by his feet,

that reads: “I am blind, please help me.”

A creative publicist (廣告員) was walking by the blind man.

He stopped and observed that the man only had a few coins (硬幣) in the blind man’s hat.

He put a few of his own coins in the hat.

And without the permission (同意) of the blind man, he took the sign, turned it around, and wrote a new message.

Then he placed the sign by the feet of the blind man and left.

Later that afternoon the publicist returned to the blind man, and noticed that his hat was almost completely full of bills and coins.

The blind man recognized his footsteps, and asked the publicist whether it was he who had changed his sign?

The blind man also wanted to know what the man wrote on the sign.

The blind man didn’t know that his new sign reads as this: “It’s spring now, but I can’t see it.”
