1. blush臉紅flush 發紅、發燙
blush：側重指羞愧而臉紅。flush：臉紅，就是簡單的生理反應。
He's a blush because he had to eat.
他的臉紅了因為他吃到了。
She flushed with anger.
她氣得漲紅了臉。
2. blunt 鈍的，不鋒利的¹直接的、直言的²（情感、感覺、需求）減弱³
The knife is blunt.
刀鈍了。
She is blunt about her personal life
她對自己的私生活直言不諱。
Our appetite was blunted by the beer.
喝啤酒讓我們沒有了胃口。（讓我們的胃口減弱了）
The constant violence has blunted the human response to it...

3. alleviate減弱 alienate疏遠
Nowadays, a great deal can be done to alleviate back pain.
如今，減輕背部疼痛可以有許多方法

4. faint = pass out 暈過去，暈倒
did she faint/passed out ?

5. whimper 啜泣 whisper 耳語，密語，低語
he starts to whimper

10. off the grid 沒有網的，與世隔絕，消失
Sorry, I didn't e-mail you back last week. I was off the grid in Beijing.
對不起，我上週沒給你回電郵。我到北京去了，沒上網。

11. tuck 塞進 tug 拉，拽
tuck in your shirt.
