Bert and Beth Look at the Stars
貝特和貝絲看星星
One summer evening, Bert, Beth, and Grandpa were sitting on the porch and watching the stars. “Are the stars far away, Grandpa?” asked Bert.
一個夏天的晚上，貝特、貝絲和爺爺坐在門廊上看星星。“星星很遙遠嗎，爺爺？”貝特問到。
“Yes,” said Grandpa. “Very, very far away.”
“是的，”爺爺說道。“非常，非常的遠。”
“Farther away than the lake?” asked Beth.
“比湖還遠嗎？”貝絲問。
“Much farther,” said Grandpa.
“遠多了，”爺爺說。
“Farther away than the forest?” asked Bert.
“比森林嗎？”貝特問到。
“Much farther,” said Grandpa.
“更遠，”爺爺說。
“To get to the stars, you need a spaceship that travels very, very fast,” said Grandpa.
“要到達星星的話，你需要一艘飛的很快很快的宇宙飛船，”爺爺說。
“When we grow up, we'll fly to the stars in a spaceship,” said Beth. “And we'll take you with us !”
“當我們長大了，我們會乘坐宇宙飛船飛往星星，”貝絲說。“我們也會把你帶上！”
“Thanks,” said Grandpa. “I've always wanted to visit a star!”
“謝謝，”爺爺說道。“我一直都想去星星上看看！”
