Procurement Manager Energy & Utilities APAC

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Complement global market knowledge with local information about markets and suppliers

- Manage communications with suppliers according to day to day operational needs and subcategory sourcing strategies; lead/execute sourcing process For utilities & energies (Waters, steam, power, natural gas, fuel oil).

- Actively respond to China Energy market liberalization, Monitoring market trend and policy updates, adjust energy sourcing strategy accordingly.

- Support development strategies of technical gases (hydrogen, CO, oxygen, nitrogen) basic chemical raw materials (e.g. chlorine, caustic soda, ammonia, nitric acid)

- Ensure reliable Energy availability at the necessary quantity, quality, place and time at the best possible Total Cost of Ownership for CISS incl uding new projects. Support feasibility study of potential projects from utility, energy an d basic raw material supply perspective.

- Engage Supplier management for the key and critical energy supplier for CISS.

- Define Emission quota purchase strategy according to latest regulation, minimize cost of CO2 emission. Including CCER purchasing

WHO YOU ARE

- Master degree in engineering / chemistry / business preferred

- Over 5 years of managerial experience preferably in different procurement areas

- Sound business judgement

- Strong leadership and managerial skills

- Strong negotiating, communication, influencing and problem solving skills

- Ability to implement and manage changes

- Further Knowledge: National/international regulations regarding trade and procurement

2.SourcingManager

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Position: Major Tasks

1. Sourcing of defined raw material basket while optimizing value generation with regards to cost, quality and reliability

2. Develop, implement and lead sourcing strategies to maximize value creation for global and regional strategic raw materials in alignment with the overall strategy of Covestro and Procurement

3. Ownership with preparation, negotiation and finalization of complex supply contracts

4. Development of new suppliers including the optimization of the existing supplier portfolio (including supplier selection, evaluation & development)

5. Ensuring implementation of quality, sustainability, and safety standards and corporate compliance rules by on-site audits as an example.

6.Managing the interface to all internal stakeholder such as global/regional product management of the BUs (PCS, PUR and CAS), production, SCC, different site procurement organizations worldwide, PSRA, Covestro and IMA procurement community and others.

7. Lead and drive important initiatives/projects within the IMA

category as head or member of global/regional, cross functional teams.
