數字“零”在英語中有多種形式，根據不同的場合，有不同的表達法。
I.數學中的“0”，常用naught [nɔːt],nought [nɔːt]，zero來表達，一個一個讀出數目時，“0”讀作oh [əʊ]。naught 多用於美國，nought多用於英國。
0.8 nanght point eight 或者 zero point eight 或者 point eight.
307.04 讀作 three oh seven point oh four.
0.05 讀作 zero point zero five/ nought point nought five
0.5% 讀作 zero point five percent / nought point five percent
II.溫度讀數一般用zero 。
-5℃ 讀作 five degree below zero Celsius ['selsɪəs].
It’s zero degrees Celsius today (0°).今天零攝氏度。
III.房間號、公交車、日期中的“0”通常讀作“oh”。
Room 305,讀作 Room three oh five.305房間。
Bus 205，讀作 Bus two oh five. 205路公交車。
1907，讀作 nineteen oh seven，1907年。
IV.電話號碼中的“0”讀作"oh"、zero、或者nought。
138-805-636-68，讀作one three eight eight zero five six three six six eight.
V.球類比賽（主要是足球）中的比分“零”，用“nil”，有時也用“nothing”代替。
Brazil won 4-0.讀作：four nil,或者four goals to nil，或者four to nothing。（巴西隊以4:0獲勝。）
VI.網球、羽毛球、乒乓球等比賽中的比分“零”，用“love”表示。
Hingis leads by 30-0.讀作thirty love。（辛吉斯以30:0領先。）
VII.三位數以上的大數字中個位數前的“0”，通常用and代替。
8009，讀作 eight thousand and nine.
《一千零一夜》讀作The One Thousand and One Nights.
