獨立寒秋，
湘江北去，
橘子洲頭。
看萬山紅遍，
層林盡染；
漫江碧透，
百舸爭流。
鷹擊長空，
魚翔淺底，
萬類霜天競自由。
悵寥廓，
問蒼茫大地，
誰主沉浮？
攜來百侶曾遊。
憶往昔崢嶸歲月稠。
恰同學少年，
風華正茂；
書生意氣，
揮斥方遒。
指點江山，
激揚文字，
糞土當年萬戶侯。
曾記否，
到中流擊水，
浪遏飛舟？

Changsha·Spring at Soothing Garden

In autumn chill I stand,
While the Hsiang does north flow.
I board Orange Shoal and
See all the mountains red, red through,
Woods and woods in red hue.
The river looks all blue;
Countless boats vie to row.
Eagles pierce the blue sky;
Fishes in the depth glide.
All kinds, frosted, frozen, for freedom vie.
The dome so wide,
I would ask the boundless vast land:
Who will o'er all command?
With my friends I used to come to play;
All those vibrant years have now gone away.
We were classmates at that time,
In full flowering prime.
As scholars willed and young,
We waved and struck, so strong.
Pointing at the land wide,
So brilliant words we cried.
Lords and peers then were dust, whom we denied.
Still remember
We used to splash water afloat,
Waves checking many a boat?
