隕石指墜落於地面的隕星殘體，由鐵、鎳、硅酸鹽等礦物質組成，亦稱隕星石。也指含石質較多或全部為石質的隕星。在含碳量高的隕石中還發現了大量的氨、核酸、脂肪酸、色素和11種氨基酸等有機物。隕石屬於天外來石，種類有上千種，但真正比較好的很稀少。您這件屬於石鐵隕石，石鐵隕石在隕石中算是比較高端的而且很難得，特徵比較明顯從表面的氣印和隕坑，及放大來看的紋路屬於真品 。石鐵隕石很難得，在市場較為少見，藏品非常昂貴。
