3月16日陳薇院士團隊研製的重組新型冠狀病毒疫苗獲批啟動臨床試驗。
On March 16th, the recombinant novel coronavirus vaccine developed by Academician Chen Wei’s team was approved to start clinical trials.
陳薇院士團隊聯合地方優勢企業，在埃博拉疫苗成功研發的經驗基礎上，開展重組新型冠狀病毒疫苗的研究，快速完成了新冠疫苗設計、重組毒種構建以及疫苗安全性、有效性評價和質量複核。
Academician Chen Wei’s team, together with local superior enterprises, has carried out the research on the recombinant novel coronavirus vaccine on the basis of the experience of the successful development of the Ebola vaccine, and quickly completed the design of the novel coronavirus vaccine, the construction of the recombinant virus seed as well as the safety, effectiveness evaluation and quality review of the vaccine.
3月16日晚上，陳薇院士團隊研製的新型冠狀病毒疫苗通過了臨床研究註冊審評，獲批進入臨床試驗。
On the evening of March 16th, the novel coronavirus vaccine developed by Academician Chen Wei’s team passed the clinical research registration review and was approved to enter the clinical trials.
中國工程院院士陳薇在接受央視記者獨家採訪時介紹，按照國際規範和國內法規，疫苗已經做到了安全、有效、質量可控，大規模生產的前期準備工作也已經完成。
Chen Wei, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said in an exclusive interview with a CCTV reporter that in accordance with international norms and domestic regulations, the vaccine has been made safe, effective, and of controllable quality. The preparatory work for mass production of the vaccine has been completed.
