目前的冠状病毒，对于公众的威胁，津巴布韦的烟草营销委员会（TIMB），已要求政府部门，就是否继续开放烟叶的拍卖市场，提供指导性意见。

According to the report, as of March 18, it was unclear whether the Minister of Health had made a decision. On March 20, however, President Mnangagwa announced a variety of measures intended to slow the virus, including banning gatherings of over 100 people. Andrew Matibiri, the TIMB CEO, has written to stakeholders in the value chain about the uncertainty, in a letter seen by the Review & Mail.
