部分倒裝也稱半倒裝句：是將謂語一部分如助動詞或情態動詞倒裝至主語前。如果句子的謂語沒助動詞或情態動詞，則需添加助動詞do,does或did，並將其置於主語前。
一、“不”引導的半倒裝句：否定意義的單詞和短語位於句首
1.正常語序： I will never miss you.
倒裝語序： Never will I miss you.
2.正常語序： He neither smokes nor drinks.
倒裝語序： Neither does he smoke nor drink.
3.正常語序： They
not only need food,but also need a rest.倒裝語序： Not only do they need food,but also need a rest.
4.正常語序： Your girlfriend can’t go until she finishes cleaning her desk.
倒裝語序： Not until she finishes cleaning her desk can your girlfriend go.
表示否定意義的單詞和短語，常見的單詞有：little,never,seldom,neither,nor,rarely。
四個“決不”短語有：by no means,at no time,under no circumstances,in no case。
Not until+時間狀語（從句）譯為直到……才……。
No sooner...than...,scarcely/hardly...when...譯為：一……就……。
Not only...but also...譯為：不但……而且。
neither...nor...譯為：既不……也不……
二、“只”引導的半倒裝句：only+狀語（副詞、介詞短語或狀語從句）位於句首
1.正常語序： I only like singing at night.
倒裝語序： Only at night do I like singing.
2.正常語序： He will only call you after work.
倒裝語序： Only after work will he call you.
三、“如此”引導的半倒裝句：含有so/such...that...的複合句中，so+形容詞、副詞或such+名詞位於句首
1.正常語序： She was so exhausted that she needed to get some sleep.
倒裝語序： So exhausted was she that she needed to get some sleep.
2.正常語序： She bought such an expensive handbag that she spent all her money.
倒裝語序： Such an expensive handbag did she buy that she spent all her money.
四、if條件句的半倒裝句：去掉虛擬If+疑問語序+（其它）
1.正常語序： If I were you,I would go.
倒裝語序： Were I you,I would go.
2.正常語序： If I were late,I would be punished.
倒裝語序： Were I late,I would be punished.
五、“祝福”引導的半倒裝句：將情態動詞may位於句首
正常語序： You may succeed!
倒裝語序： May you succeed!
總結：
半倒裝句，強調提前，後跟一般疑問句。
只倒主句，從句不變，除if虛擬語氣。
強調部有“不*只*如此，還虛*祝福”。
