《麥克阿瑟將軍為兒子的禱文》中文翻譯—培養孩子謙卑的心

晚上上網，偶然看到麥克阿瑟將軍給兒子的祈禱文，非常適合讓自己讀小學高年級的女兒看看，可以用來激勵孩子謙卑、勇敢、堅強、溫柔的心。但是網上找了半天，沒發現一個自己滿意的中文翻譯版本。特別是這一句“Give him humility, so that he may always remember the simplicity of true greatness, the open mind of true wisdom, the meekness of true strength. ”其中“humility”、“open mind”、“meekness”這三個詞和短語翻譯的比較混亂。這一句我的翻譯是“賜他謙卑，使他永遠記得，真正的偉大是卑賤，真正的智慧是謙虛，真正的力量是溫柔。”卑賤、謙虛和溫柔更符合麥克阿瑟將軍虔誠基督徒的口吻。

怎奈兔兔英文水平不好，兩三百字的文字，花了我3個小時，在參考了很多版本以後，才勉強完成。但實實在在是抱著畢恭畢敬的心態，生怕哪一個單詞表達不準確，褻瀆了這一篇偉大的文字。

Build me a son, O Lord, who will be strong enough to know when he is weak,

and brave enough to face himself when he is afraid; one who will be proud and
