我也學播了智慧之種，
親手培植它漸漸蔥蘢；
而今我獲得的收成——
只是“來如流水，逝如風”。

With them the seed of Wisdom did I sow,
And with mine own hand wrought to make it grow;
And this was all the Harvest that I reap'd—
"I came like Water, and like Wind I go.”

飄飄入世，如水之不得不流，
不知何故來，亦不知來自何處；
飄飄出世，如風之不得不吹，
風過漠地亦不知吹向何許。

Into this Universe, and Why not knowing
Nor Whence like Water willy-nilly flowing;
And out of it, as Wind along the Waste,
I know not Whither, willy-nilly blowing.

請君莫問何處來！
請君莫問何處去！
浮此禁觴千萬鍾，
可以消沉那無常的記憶。

And, without asking, Whither hurried hence!
Oh, many a Cup of this forbidden Wine
