The question you have brought out is worth answering because it is the first question that every one of new English teachers have to confront. In my opinion, new English teachers should do as follows in order to be rapidly accepted by his or her students at the very beginning of new school terms:
Firstly, introduce yourself briefly. A brief self-introduction is necessary and important, which will make a good impression on your students at the first sight. You may introduce to them your name, your education background and major, your hobbies , your characters and so on. If time permits , you can ask a few of students to introduce themselves.
Secondly, make a commitment and make a demand of your students. You may say to them like this: “I will do my best to teach you well , I am expecting you to work hard at you lessons.Do remember the proverbs: No pain, no gain. Practice makes perfect ”
Thirdly, give the first vivid and interesting lesson for the new term. As is well known, teaching and educating are teachers’ bounden duty. In the first period of lesson,you should convince your students by means of pure English pronunciation and intonation, abundant English knowledge, effective teaching methods and personal charm and vitality .
All in all, it is quite important for you to introduce yourself appropriately at the very beginning of new school terms although it is not easy for you to be accepted by students in the short term.

新班開課，英語老師一定要精心準備一篇精巧的自我介紹。用標準而又地道的英語流利又不乏幽默地把自己展現給學生。這篇英文自我介紹要有自己的特色。要精而巧，切記拖沓冗長。
學生會通過英語老師的精巧自我介紹，瞬間就特別仰慕老師的語音面貌。從心裡認可這個英語老師，這是學好英語的第一步。
二，讓每個學生都到講臺前進行自我介紹，老師儘可能記住學生的姓名並加以鼓勵、認可。
新班開課，英語老師需要得到學生的認可。同理，學生更渴望得到英語老師的認可。在第一節英語課上，學生就能獲得英語老師認可的最好方法是：讓每一個學生都到講臺前進行簡短自我介紹。
老師站在一邊認真傾聽學生的自我介紹。盡最大可能記住每一個學生的姓名並傾聽他們的語音語調。一定要找出不同學生的閃光點加以鼓勵和表揚。讓每一個學生在第一節英語課上都能在老師這獲得認同感。
學生們很可愛，他們會利用自我介紹這個機會， 表達出喜歡英語、喜歡英語老師等想法。比如，我的學生在進行自我介紹時，會經常說這樣的話：“l like English very much. I like my English teacher, because she is very beautiful and kind.” 這個時候,我一定要回復一句:"I like you very much，too.Because you're very lovely."這樣就直接拉近了老師與學生之間的距離。
三，用暖心的話與學生交流，以責任心向學生承諾。
我在高中任教20餘年，每一節新班開課都會和學生說幾句暖心的話並承諾道：“不管你們以前英語是什麼樣的基礎，到了高中都是一個新的起點。老師會對你們一視同仁。只要你想學英語，老師就有信心把你教會。”
雖然簡短几句話，但學生會很信服這個老師。因為他們看到了一個平易近人、一視同仁又盡職盡責這樣難得的好英語老師。
新班開課，英語老師需要學生第一節課就認可自己最好方法是：標準地道的英語自我介紹讓學生折服；師生互動讓學生第一時間得到認可；老師用暖心的話與學生交流，以責任心向學生承諾。做到了這三點，學生一定會認可這個新的英語老師。
