【臨夏的古往今來】
臨夏史稱河州，迄(qi)今已有兩千多年曆史，是古絲綢之路南道重鎮，素有“茶馬互市”“西部旱碼頭”“河湟雄鎮”之稱，也是中國著名的“花兒之鄉”“彩陶之鄉”“牡丹之鄉”。
臨夏市是絲綢之路經濟帶甘肅黃金段上的重要節點，有著得天獨厚的區位優勢，形成了比較穩固的商貿物流通道。這裡文旅景點星羅棋佈、風格迥異，是蘭州—臨夏—甘南—九寨溝民族風情旅遊線上的中轉站和旅遊目的地，牛羊肉、釀酒、地毯加工業蒸蒸日上，手工雕刻、制香等特色旅遊產品不斷崛起，共同造就了臨夏厚積薄發的文旅產業。

【臨夏的奼紫嫣紅】
牡丹隨處有，勝絕是河州。河州牡丹歷史悠久、堪稱一絕，其典型代表紫斑牡丹，因其花瓣基部有一個明顯的色斑而得名，以花冠大、香味濃郁，根、皮、仔、仁可供藥用等特點享譽華夏。2019年，紫斑牡丹驚豔亮相世界園藝博覽會，獲得銀獎。
每年五月，春色滿園，天地秀逸，一年一度的河州牡丹文化月如期而至。步入六十里牡丹長廊，一股清新、高雅、馥郁的香風迎面撲來，令人心馳神往。今天的紫斑牡丹，已經從庭院栽培的小天地，走向城市綠化、產業發展的大世界，成了美麗臨夏的新名片。
