英語中many、much、a lot of用法
1、many 修飾可數名詞
I have many books.我有許多書。
many作主語時謂語動詞用複數。
Many books are new.許多書是新的。
2、much 修飾不可數名詞
There is much water in the glass.杯子裡有許多水。
much作主語時謂語動詞用單數。
Much time has been wasted．有許多時間給浪費掉了。
3、a lot of修飾可數名詞和不可數名詞
There are a lot of（many） people in my family.我家有許多人。
There is a lot of（much） time to us.對於我們來說還有許多時間。
a lot of引導名詞做主語時，謂語動詞的數不是複數，而是根據of所引導的名詞的數來決定。
A lot of（Lots of） people have been here。許多人都在這。
A lot of（Lots of）money was lost.許多錢都丟了
