start out: If you start out by doing something, you do it at the beginning of an activity. 以 (做某事) 開始

think the world of : 1.欽佩，尊重；熱愛，關懷；2. 對…評價很高，欽佩，尊重；極其熱愛，關懷；非常喜歡
所以這裡的 think the world of you 就是極其欽佩你，十分敬重你；
"I think the world of you young men." （我很欽佩你們這些年輕人）----《比利林恩的中場戰事》
helping other people is not your thing 字面意思是幫助別人不是你的事情，但是真正的意思是幫助別人不是你的風格，你不怎麼幫助別人，你不太愛幫助別人。
terrified: very frightened 非常害怕的，極度驚恐的；
"I was terrified by my piano teacher." （我當時被我的鋼琴老師嚇到了 ）----美劇《破產姐妹》
"I'm just kind of terrified of how he's gonna act." （我有點害怕他知道後的反應）----美劇《家有正太》
