今天我們總結了一些暑期小點子，幫助不論是有暑假的學生黨還是隻有短短年假的上班族，如果你對蟬鳴鳥叫烈日炙烤的夏天怎麼度過還是毫無頭緒的話可以自由取用。
Travel
無論是剛剛考試結束還是剛做完年中的項目，你難道不想出門走走嗎？
Who doesn’t want to take a dream trip to mega cities like Shanghai and Beijing or a road trip to Tibet? If you’ve had traveling on your mind, a plan-free summer is the perfect time to go through with it. Take advantage of your free time and book that hotel, buy those flights or pack the rucksack for the trip of a lifetime.
誰不想來個夢想旅行啊，去上海、北京這樣的大城市或者是去西藏公路旅行。如果你腦子裡早就有旅行的想法，那麼這個悠閒的夏天就是你旅行的絕佳機會。趁著有時間，訂好酒店、買好機票、準備好行李，向一輩子一次的旅行出發吧。
Whether you plan a long, faraway journey or a simple, spontaneous trip, summer can be the perfect time to set out and explore. If you have a few weeks (or even a few days), consider spending your free time exploring a new place!
不管你是準備要長途旅行還是一個簡簡單單沒有多少計劃的短途出行，夏日時光都是出門探索的好時候。如果你有幾周的時間（哪怕幾天也可以），考慮去個陌生的地兒消磨閒暇時光吧！
Learn something new
暑假裡，你有大把的時間可以學一點新技能，象牙塔裡學不到的知識暑假剛好去學呀！
Whether you take a class about block chain theory or photography online, sign up to waiter at your favorite restaurant or just teach yourself how to do your makeup, that chunk of free time this summer can be a great opportunity to learn something new. We know that summer is probably your sacred time away from school, but there’s so much more you can learn outside of your university.
上個區塊鏈技術課或者攝影網課、去你最心水的飯店做服務生，或者就教會自己怎麼化妝，夏天的大把時間就是學習新東西的好機會。我們知道，你可能覺得暑假不就是離開學校不用學習的神聖時間段嗎，不過，在學校之外還有很多東西可以學呀。
“The summer before I went abroad, I brushed up on my Spanish,” says Alex Watson, a senior at New York University. “When I came home from my summer job, I’d use an app called Duolingo to practice my speaking. It was a great use of my free time and it really came in handy when I was abroad.”
“我出國前的暑假，練了練西班牙語”，紐約大學大四學生亞歷克斯·沃森說：“暑期兼職回到家我就會用多鄰國學習口語。閒暇時間這麼用起來特別棒，我在國外的時候練過的口語正好派上了用場。”
If you’ve always wanted to learn about a certain subject or specific skill, take advantage of these next few months to do so! Sign up for a class, download an app or reach out to someone in your industry and pick up a few new skills this summer.
如果你一直想學某個東西或者學會一門技能，接下來的幾個月就可以用起來呀！報個班，下個軟件，和業內的大佬建立良好關係，這個夏天，把本領學起來吧！
Try something you've always wanted to
Summer is a time to be spontaneous, so why not try something you've always wanted to? If you’ve been longing to try something out or cross something off your bucket list, maybe now is your chance!
夏天本就是隨心隨性的季節，所以為啥不試試做點你一直想做的事兒呢？如果你想做某事很久了，想從待辦事項裡給它劃掉，現在就是時候！
Olivia Shaw, a senior at UNC Greensboro, finally decided to get her hair dyed last summer. “I'd been wanting to get purple hair for three years, and I finally just walked into a barber shop and did it one day,” she says. “I was nervous, but it felt so amazing to check something off my bucket list! I think summer is the perfect time to gather your courage and do something you've wanted to do for a while. It definitely makes your summer more memorable.”
UNC Greensboro的高年級學生奧利維亞·肖上個暑假終於做了染髮的決定。“三年來我一直想染個紫色的頭髮，那天我就衝進了一家理髮店把它給染了。”她說：“我其實蠻緊張的，不過完成心願的感覺真的超級棒！我覺得夏天就是該鼓足勇氣做點你心心念唸的事情。這絕對會讓你的暑假留下無法磨滅的記憶。”
If there’s something on your bucket list that has been on there for a while, maybe it’s about time to check it off! If you’ve always wanted to get into photography, buy a camera. Always wanted to get your first aid certification? Take a class. Take advantage of this time and do something you’ve been considering for a while.
如果你的願望清單上的東西囤積很久了，不妨現在就給它劃掉！假若你一直都想學攝影，那就買個相機唄。想拿個急救證？那就報個班。把時間利用起來，完成夙願。
Catch up on reading
走入社會的你有多久沒有潛心閱讀啦，學生黨也別笑，專業書籍外的閒書是不是沒空看啊。
夏天，坐在沙發上捧一本兒書喝冰可樂，想想都覺得夠味兒。
Many of us wish we had the time for some pleasure reading, but let’s be honest—we’d rather spend it on Netflix. If you’ve got a few free months this summer, consider spending some of it catching up on your reading list.
好多人都希望自己有空讀點兒喜歡的書，不過呃......說實話，我們都寧願看劇。如果這個夏天你有幾個月空閒，不妨把你的書單往前推進一點兒啊。
“As a grad student, I have a lot of assigned readings and, sometimes, the best I can do is skim the not-so-urgent ones,” says Sydnee Lyons, a first-year graduate student at Florida Atlantic University. “So, I like to keep a running list of the readings that looked really interesting to me but that I didn't get to spend enough time with and go back to them during the summer months off—at my own pace and at the beach,” she says.
“作為一名研究生，我有超多佈置的書要讀，而且有時候對於那些不太打緊的書，我最多隻能掃讀一下”，弗羅裡達亞特蘭大大學的研一學生西尼·里昂說：“所以我喜歡搞一個不斷更新的書單，裡面都是我特別想讀但是沒有時間讀的書，暑假的時候我就會把這堆書讀起來，閱讀速度隨意，還有，要在沙灘上讀。”
Whether it’s for fun or for work, think about spending your extra time catching up on the reading you’ve let build up over the past year or so. We’re all guilty of putting it off, so summer is the perfect time to play catch up!
無論是為了娛樂還是為了工作，考慮一下把你去年囤積起來的書單用閒暇時間讀起來。拖延什麼的我們都不想噠，所以暑假嘛，最好追趕起來！
Take up a new job or internship
如果你有暑假，不考慮來個兼職或者實習嗎？增長見識，鍛鍊專業能力，為以後求職鋪平道路。
If you’ve spent past summers relaxing on the beach and soaking up the glory of three months with no responsibilities, it can be hard to bring yourself to get a job instead. But summer is an awesome time of year to try out a new job and boost your resume.
如果以前的暑假你都是在沙灘悠閒，享受3個月假期，無拘無束的話，那麼這回讓你找個工作怕是不容易啊。但是夏天就是一年裡最適合找個新工作、潤飾下簡歷的時間哦。
“The summer between my sophomore and junior year, I decided to stay in the city and try a new internship,” says Alex. “Normally I’d go home for the summer, and usually I’m too busy during the school year to do an internship, so it turned out to be the perfect opportunity. It was great to learn more about my field, make a little money and avoid the boredom of home!”
“大二和大三中間的那個暑假我決定待在城裡找份實習”，亞歷克斯說：“暑假我一般都回家的，而且上學的時候也時常忙得沒空去實習，結果暑假就成了最適合找實習的時候。在本專業領域學點東西、賺點小錢，還不用回家，省得無聊。”
Get in shape
夏天光是坐著就能留一斤汗，要是運動一小會兒，你恐怕就能獲得夢想身材啊。
This is something that is really easy to let slip away when you are busy with the school year. I would recommend setting a goal, like going to the gym four times a week or training for a half marathon. You could also learn a new sport. Grab a friend and a couple of tennis racquets and hit some balls around at a public court!
因為在學校裡忙，所以運動以保持身形這件事真的就很容易搞不動。我建議你定個目標，比方說每週去4次健身房，或者練個半馬。你也可以學個新運動。拉個朋友，帶上幾副網球拍子，在公共球場打幾場球唄！
While you may have booked your past summers with plans to the brim, it’s not so bad to have a completely plan-free summer once in a while. A free summer gives you the time to try new things, explore and relax. If you’re trying to fill up your summer months, consider taking the advice!
以往的暑假你可能計劃太滿，所以這個暑假嘛，偶爾不做啥計劃也不錯。自由的暑假你就有空嘗試點兒新事物，盡情探索，盡情放鬆。要是你打算把暑假填滿的話，不妨考慮下上面的建議呀！
