印度北方邦一男子因覺得妻子太醜將其勒死
週四，一名男子勒死了24歲的妻子，因為即使結婚已一年，他在她身上仍然“看不到美”。這一慘劇發生在阿歐拉警察局轄區的賈提拉村。警方在對被告進行登記後逮捕了他。
奈傑爾(婚前姓氏)是巴丹郡印鬥爾村的居民。她於2017年3月與26歲的塔薩瓦可汗結婚。婚禮之後，她的丈夫和24歲的小叔子薩納伯一直威脅要殺死她，因為她長得很醜，而她的婆婆胡米姆和公公穆巴希爾則要求嫁妝。

奈傑爾的父親奈哈魯丁說：“她的婆家威脅要殺了她。他們常常跟她說，她長得很醜，她應該向我索要嫁妝，讓她接受美容師的治療。她的婆家曾經因為沒有嫁妝而殘忍地毆打她。”

“週四下午2點左右，當我接到來自奈傑爾的電話時，我驚呆了。她哭著求我把她從婆家帶走。我和我的妻子貝古姆還在路上，塔薩瓦打電話告訴我們她自殺了。一到他們家，看到她的屍體，我立刻撥打了100號碼通知了警方。阿歐拉的警察潘卡維爾馬說，警方正在搜捕另外三名被告。
