01.洗衣服≠wash clothes
實際上
把“洗衣服”翻譯成“wash clothes”本身沒錯
這個表達強調的是“手洗”
而且含有沖洗的感覺
但歐美人確實比較少說wash clothes
而是用一個專門的短語：do the laundry
強調的是“用洗衣機洗衣服”
或者到“洗衣店洗衣服”
因為歐美比較發達
洗衣機早已家家普及
洗衣店也到處都是
他們可能早就忘了“手洗-wash”這回事
所以說到洗衣服
脫口而出的就是“do the laundry”
但是沒有洗衣機的時候
說wash clothes也沒啥問題
人家一樣能聽懂
還可以說 do the washing
手洗和機器洗衣服都通用~
對話示例：
A: Did you do the laundry?
B: Yes, I did.
A: What did you wash?
B: I washed the sheets and towels.
A: What about the pillowcases?
B: Yes, I took them off the pillows and washed them too.
A：你有沒有把你的髒衣服都洗了呀？
B：是的，我已經洗過了。
A：你洗了什麼？
B：我洗了床單和毛巾。
A：那你有沒有洗枕套啊？
B：恩，我把它們從枕頭上拿下來洗了。
02.洗碗≠wash the dishes
do the dishes 洗碗
dish: 盤子，碗，碟子
Since you cooked,
I’ll clear the table and do the dishes.
既然你做飯了，
那我就收拾桌子洗碗吧。
（clear the table 收拾桌子）
注意：
洗碗不用wash,
但 洗碗機的確是Dishwasher噢！
03.洗澡≠wash body
wash body表面上看沒啥問題
洗身體嘛……
但是西方人並不這麼說
一般用下面這兩個：
take/have a shower 洗澡
shower ['ʃaʊɚ] 淋浴
或者是
take/have a bath
bath [bɑːθ] 沐浴
I always have a shower
after getting up.
起床後我會洗個澡。
