自第七屆起東亞運動會(現更名為東亞青年運動會)簡稱"東亞運"，自1993年開始第1屆，2013年舉辦第6屆也是最後一屆，2019年起更名為"東亞青年運動會"。主要由東亞地區舉行，是東亞規模最大的綜合性運動會，由東亞運動會總會主辦。每四年舉辦一屆，參與國主要分佈在東亞，包括中國，日本，韓國，中國香港，中國澳門，蒙古，朝鮮，中國臺灣，關島。由東亞運動會聯合理事會(East Asian Games Association)主辦。國際奧林匹克委員會承認東亞運動會為正式的東亞地區運動會。
Since the seventh East Asian Games (now renamed East Asian Youth Games) referred to as the "East Asian Games". Since 1993, the first session, the sixth and last session were held in 2013, and the name of the "East Asian Youth Games" was renamed in 2019. The first East Asian Games were held in Shanghai, China, from 9 May to 18 May 1993. This collection consists of 14 pieces, weighing 214.2g, diameter 34.97mm, all of which are golden. The commemorative coins are vivid cartoon statues of 14 sports such as track and field, badminton, basketball and gymnastics. This group of emblems commemorating the gold coins of the East Asian Games is composed of the first letter "E" of the English "East Asia" and the Arab number "1", representing the first East Asian Games. "E" and "1" form the Chinese character "Shen", which symbolizes the first East Asian Games held in Shanghai, China. The red "E" means strong, giving people the image of a burning torch, while resembling the human body in motion.
