一、學前閱讀，看您有哪些詞彙語法障礙：
Why, you may wonder, should spiders be our friends? Because they destroy so many insects, and insects include some of the greatest enemies of the human race. Insects would make it impossible for us to live in the world; they would devour all our crops and kill our flocks and herds, if it were not for the protection we get from insect-eating animals.

二、學中理解，學習詞彙語法知識點：
Why, {you may wonder}, should spiders be our friends? .
{你可能會覺得奇怪}， 蜘蛛怎麼會是我們的朋友呢？。
1.{you may wonder}是插入語，可以改寫為一個賓語從句：You may wonder why spiders should be our friends.
2. Because引導原因狀語從句，Because可以省略，省略了Because就是隱性的因果關係。
3. and引導並列句，解釋前一句insects的具體內容。
Insects would make it impossible {for us to live in the world}; they would devour all our crops | and kill our flocks and herds,
，昆蟲就會使我們無法在地球上生活下去，（因為）昆蟲會吞食我們的全部莊稼，殺死我們的成群的牛羊。

5.make it impossible是形式賓語結構，it是真實賓語，指代{for us to live in the world}，原來的句序是make {for us to live in the world} impossible。
6. 分號；也起連詞的作用，相當於and，後面的and引導並列謂語。
7. [we get from insect-eating animals]是定語從句，修飾protection，從句本來是we get protection from insect-eating animals，用that/which指代做賓語的protection，可以省略。
三、學後複習，在理解的基礎上背誦默寫過關才算是真正的學會，背誦默寫就是聽說讀寫綜合訓練。不要以為過幾天又忘了，背了也沒用。就像上頓吃完飯，下頓還要吃一樣，背誦默寫的過程中吸收了詞句結構這樣的營養就是最大的收穫。
