《新概念英语》教材本身在编写时，第一册和第二册的语料主要是作者自己编写的，所以在语言内容的呈现上，与实际生活是有差距的。此外，在课文朗读的语速上也与实际生活相差较大。因此，对于学习者而言，需要注意的是，能够听懂教材中的内容，并不代表其听力是真正提高了。

当然，也正因为其听力部分的内容存在难度偏低的问题，小编从今天起，将跟大家分享一些听力方面的材料，作为教材的补充。

这些材料的语料内容都是选自真实生活的场景录音，其语速基本保持常规语速；语料的内容有难度区别，分为初级（Easy）、中级（Medium）和高级（Difficult）三个级别；语料的主题基本涵盖生活中大部分常见的场景，可以满足日常生活或学习考试之用。

每个主题的听力材料都包含三个部分：听前练习（Pre-listening exercises）；听中练习（Listening exercises）；听后练习（Post-listening exercises）。

听前练习主要是话题准备，让学习者在进入正式的听力之前，利用自己的背景知识，对即将要听练的主题内容提前进行预热。在这部分里会补充一点小提示，主要是关于该主题的跨文化方面的内容。

听中练习包括两道题，一道是客观选择题，一道是主观填空题为主（也会穿插其他题型）。这两道题的设置就是为了检查学习者对语料的理解情况。

听后练习主要是口语或写作的形式，让学习者围绕本课主题进行拓展训练。
