詞根詞綴考點特訓

一、bi-表示“雙，兩個”，如biweekly(每兩週一次的)，bilateral(雙邊貿易);tri-表示“三，三個”，如triangle(三角形)，tricycle(三輪車);multi- 表示“多個”，如multilateral(多邊的)。

1.I think they are really hopeful that Obama is going to pursue amultilateral strategy as he seems to indicate.

我認為，他們真的希望奧巴馬會像他所說的那樣，將來會採取多邊貿易的政策。

2.The group meets on a regular basis, usually weekly or biweekly.

該小組定期會面，通常每週或每兩週一次。

二、ir, il 表示“不，無”，是個否定前綴。如illiterate(不識字的，文盲)，illegal(違法的)，irregular(不規則的)，irrational(不理性的)。

1.The Greeks are totally illiterate from around 1100 to 750.

希臘人從公元前一千一百年到前七百五十年，完全就是文盲。

2.The government tried to disband the illegal organization.

政府企圖解散那個非法組織。

三、con-, com-, co-表示“雙方、共同”。如：combine結合，comfort安慰，component成分，comparison比較，cooperation合作。

1.We are going to have a swimming competition next week.

下禮拜，我們將會有一場游泳比賽。

2.After that, he still continues to collaborate with Adam.

在那之後，他仍然繼續和亞當合作。

3.The judge ordered the driver to pay compensation to the person he struck.

法官命令肇事司機給被撞人經濟賠償。

四、de- 表示“去掉，離開，下降，變壞，向下”，dis- 表示“不”或“分開，分離”。如：decline下降，deficit赤字，disapproval不贊成，discrimination歧視，disappear消失。

1.Before we move, we should discard some of the old furniture.

我們在搬家之前，先扔掉一些舊傢俱。

2.Even you feel depress at a social gathering, you can’t show it to others.

即便在公共場合你心情很沮喪，你都不能把它展現出來。

五、im-, in- 表示“無，不，非”或者“向內，進入”。如：impassive冷漠的，inactivity靜止的，impact影響，inconvenience不便、麻煩。

1.Disease was an inevitable consequence of poor living conditions.

疾病是貧窮的生活條件下不可避免的現象結果。

2.Nothing is impossible.

沒有什麼是不可能的(萬事皆有可能)。
