词根词缀考点特训

一、bi-表示“双，两个”，如biweekly(每两周一次的)，bilateral(双边贸易);tri-表示“三，三个”，如triangle(三角形)，tricycle(三轮车);multi- 表示“多个”，如multilateral(多边的)。

1.I think they are really hopeful that Obama is going to pursue amultilateral strategy as he seems to indicate.

我认为，他们真的希望奥巴马会像他所说的那样，将来会采取多边贸易的政策。

2.The group meets on a regular basis, usually weekly or biweekly.

该小组定期会面，通常每周或每两周一次。

二、ir, il 表示“不，无”，是个否定前缀。如illiterate(不识字的，文盲)，illegal(违法的)，irregular(不规则的)，irrational(不理性的)。

1.The Greeks are totally illiterate from around 1100 to 750.

希腊人从公元前一千一百年到前七百五十年，完全就是文盲。

2.The government tried to disband the illegal organization.

政府企图解散那个非法组织。

三、con-, com-, co-表示“双方、共同”。如：combine结合，comfort安慰，component成分，comparison比较，cooperation合作。

1.We are going to have a swimming competition next week.

下礼拜，我们将会有一场游泳比赛。

2.After that, he still continues to collaborate with Adam.

在那之后，他仍然继续和亚当合作。

3.The judge ordered the driver to pay compensation to the person he struck.

法官命令肇事司机给被撞人经济赔偿。

四、de- 表示“去掉，离开，下降，变坏，向下”，dis- 表示“不”或“分开，分离”。如：decline下降，deficit赤字，disapproval不赞成，discrimination歧视，disappear消失。

1.Before we move, we should discard some of the old furniture.

我们在搬家之前，先扔掉一些旧家具。

2.Even you feel depress at a social gathering, you can’t show it to others.

即便在公共场合你心情很沮丧，你都不能把它展现出来。

五、im-, in- 表示“无，不，非”或者“向内，进入”。如：impassive冷漠的，inactivity静止的，impact影响，inconvenience不便、麻烦。

1.Disease was an inevitable consequence of poor living conditions.

疾病是贫穷的生活条件下不可避免的现象结果。

2.Nothing is impossible.

没有什么是不可能的(万事皆有可能)。
