I regard not the outside and the words,
I regard the inside and the state of the heart.I look at the heart if it be humble,Though the words may be the reverse of humble.
Because the heart is substance,
and words accidents,
Accidents are only a means,
substance is the final cause.
How long will thou dwell on words and superficialities?
A burning heart is what I want;
consort with burning!
Kindle in the heart the flame of love,
And burn up utterly thoughts and fine expressions.
我不在乎外界和言語，
我在乎內在和心的狀態。
我看這心它是否謙卑，
儘管這些話可能是謙卑的反面。
因為心才是本質，
而，言語是衍生，
衍生之物只是一個工具，
本質是才是最終的主宰。
你還要糾纏在言語
和那些膚淺的東西里多久？
我想要的是一顆燃燒的心，
持久的燃燒！
點燃心中愛的火焰，
燒掉所有的思慮和華麗的表達。
