说到超市的英语
很多同学会想到supermarket
大多数英语国家也确实都这么说
但美国除外
美国人基本不用supermarket这个词
今天来一探究竟~
美国人怎么称呼“超市”？
grocery[ˈɡroʊsəri] n.食品杂货店
美国人管叫超市grocery store
或者就直接说超市的名字
比如Walmart(沃尔玛），Costco（好士多）, Sams Club（山姆）
国人也形象统称为Big Box
特点是：规模大、种类多
从食物到生活用品
家居电器和汽车配件等都可买到
一般分布在城市的边缘
交通方便，价格实惠
去超市：go to the grocery store
去超市买东西：do / go grocery shopping
例：
If you go out, don't forget to go grocery shopping!
如果你要出门，别忘了买菜！
I'm going grocery shopping this weekend.
周末我要去超市买东西。
“购物车”英文这么说？
超市的"购物车"
和网上的"购物车"没有区别
英国人会这么说
shopping trolley
trolley [ˈtrɒli] 手推车
美国人会这么说
shopping cart
cart [kɑːrt] 手推车
例：

“购物狂”英文这么说？
shopping spree 或 spending spree
疯狂购物；购物狂
spree[spri] 狂欢；无节制的狂热行为
在外国的广告中常常会出现
shopping spree或者spending spree的字样
例：
