說到超市的英語
很多同學會想到supermarket
大多數英語國家也確實都這麼說
但美國除外
美國人基本不用supermarket這個詞
今天和小醬來一探究竟~
美國人怎麼稱呼“超市”？
grocery[ˈɡroʊsəri] n.食品雜貨店
美國人管叫超市grocery store
或者就直接說超市的名字
比如Walmart(沃爾瑪），Costco（好士多）, Sams Club（山姆）
國人也形象統稱為Big Box
特點是：規模大、種類多
從食物到生活用品
家居電器和汽車配件等都可買到
一般分佈在城市的邊緣
交通方便，價格實惠
去超市：go to the grocery store
去超市買東西：do / go grocery shopping
例：
If you go out, don't forget to go grocery shopping!
如果你要出門，別忘了買菜！
I'm going grocery shopping this weekend.
週末我要去超市買東西。
“購物車”英文這麼說？
超市的"購物車"
和網上的"購物車"沒有區別
英國人會這麼說
shopping trolley
trolley [ˈtrɒli] 手推車
美國人會這麼說
shopping cart
cart [kɑːrt] 手推車
例：
Take a shopping cart with you when you shop in a grocery store.
你逛超市的時候記得拿購物車。
“購物狂”英文這麼說？
shopping spree 或 spending spree
瘋狂購物；購物狂
spree[spri] 狂歡；無節制的狂熱行為
在外國的廣告中常常會出現
shopping spree或者spending spree的字樣
例：
This week in London, I went on a shopping spree.
這周在倫敦，我去瘋狂購物了。
“on sale”是什麼意思？
