A Man And Satyr 人與賽特
A Man and Satyr having struck up an acquaintance, sat down together to eat.
一個人與賽特偶然相識，坐在一起吃東西。
The day being wintry (寒冷的) and cold, the Man put his fingers to his mouth and blew upon them.
正值冬季，很冷，那人把手放在嘴邊哈氣。
"What's that for, my friend?" asked the Satyr.
“那是幹嗎？我的朋友。”賽特問道。
" My hands are so cold," said the Man, "I do it to warm (溫暖的) them."
“我的手太冷了。”這人說：“我這樣做是為了讓他們暖些。”
In a little while, some hot food was placed before them, and the Man, raising the dish to his mouth (嘴巴), again blew upon it.
過了一會兒，一些熱騰騰的食物擺在他們面前，那人把碟子舉到嘴邊又吹了起來。
Satyr asked： "And what's the meaning (含義) of that now?"
賽特問：“現在這又是什麼意思呢？”
"Oh," replied the Man, "my porridge is so hot, I do it to cool it."
“哦。”那人說：“我的粥太燙了，我把它吹涼些”。
"Nay." said the Satyr, "from this moment I renounce your friendship (友誼), for I will have nothing to do with one who blows hot and cold with the same mouth."
“不。” 賽特說：“從此刻開始，我要與你絕交，因為我不想和一個反覆無常的人做朋友。”
