put foot in mouth 说错话
put foot in mouth （言语)使人尴尬,冒犯别人
foot是脚的意思，mouth表示嘴巴，如果你把put your foot in your mouth直译成把你的脚塞进嘴巴的话，一定会闹出笑话。
老外说I put my foot in my mouth，千万不要以为他有什么恶俗的怪癖，他只是为自己说错话而道歉，put one s foot in one's mouth表示一个人说错话了。

大家把my foot理解为我的脚确实没错，但my foot如果单独使用，就不能理解为我的脚了,真正的意思其实是我不敢相信。
my foot的语气很强烈，多指矛盾的感叹，通常用于事实令人震惊的情形。
