The Tianjin Juilliard School is deeply committed to our values, which include respect for each member of the community in which we live, learn and perform. We are very disappointed by recent comments by violin faculty member Yi-Wen Jiang, which have no place in our—or any—community. We condemn them wholeheartedly. Effective immediately, Mr. Jiang is no longer employed by The Tianjin Juilliard School. We look forward to developing a robust community of artists in China based on mutual respect and the power of the arts.
天津茱莉亞學院始終秉持我們的價值觀，包括尊重我們生活、學習和表演所處環境中的每一位成員。然而，本院原擬聘用的小提琴教師蔣逸文於最近發表的惡劣言論，是天津茱莉亞學院或其他任何社群都無法容忍的，我們對此予以最強烈的譴責。天津茱莉亞學院現決定對蔣逸文不予聘用，自此聲明發出起即刻生效。我們期待在中國培育以相互尊重和藝術力量為立身之本的藝術家社群。
