engage（verb）
1、（formal）to succeed in attracting and keep sb's attention and interests.
For example:
It's a movie that engage both the mind and the eye.

2、engage sb(as sth)(formal)to employ sb to do a particular job.
For example:
He is currently engaged as a consultant.

3、engage(with sth/sb)to become involved with and try to understand sb.
