一、Thanks for your video. 谢谢你的录像。
1.Thanks for sth. 因为……感谢
2.Thanks for doing 因为做……感谢。
例：Thanks for helping me with English. = Thanks for your help with my English.
二、Your house is really different from the flats here in our town. 你的房子的确不同于我们镇上的公寓。
be different from...意思是“与......不同”，反义短语是be the same as...
三、Your garden is full of flowers.你的花园里满是花。
be full of...意思是“充满......”
例：My garden is full of flowers.
四、I hope to visit your home some day.我希望将来有一天去你家参观。
1.hope to do sth. 希望做某事
2.hope that 从句 希望……
例：I hope to visit your home some day. = I hope that I can visit your home some day.
注意：没有hope sb. to do sth.
3.some day意为“有一天”。只能用于将来时态。
one day也可表示“有一天”。可以用于将来时态，也可用于过去时态。
五、Can I take a message?要我捎个口信吗？
message，名词，意为“消息，音信”，复数形式为messages.

六、Can you ask him to call me back?你能请他给我回个电话吗？
1.ask sb. (not) to do … 要求某人（不要）做……
例：Mary asks her father to make a kite for her.
例：The teacher asks us not to talk in class.
2.tell sb. (not) to do … 告诉某人（不要）做……
例：My mum tells me to visit my grandpa tomorrow.
3.call sb. back给某人回电话
七、May I speak to Daniel, please?请找丹尼尔接电话好吗？
1.May I speak to sb. , please? 为电话用语，意为“请找某人接电话好吗？”。
2.答句视情况而定：
①如接电话的人就是要找的人，用“This is...speaking. ”或“Speaking.”；不能说“I am...”。
②如要找的人不在，可用“Sorry, ...isn’t here.”或“Can I take a message?”
③如要找的人就在附近用“Hold on, please.”
④如果要“询问对方是谁”，应该说“Who is it/that, please?”，不能说“Who are you”。
3.询问电话号码：What’s your telephone number? 不能用How many / How much.
