CHINA’S NATIONAL DAY OF MOURNING FOR COVID-19 VICTIMS
哀悼抗擊新冠疫情犧牲烈士和逝世同胞
On April 4, 2020, China held a national mourning day for Martyrs who had died in their fight against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak according to the State Council.
國務院表示，2020年4月4日，中國為在抗擊新型冠狀病毒（COVID-19）的戰鬥中犧牲的烈士舉行了全國哀悼日。
A three-minute period of silence was observed nationwide at 10 am. The national mourning day was held to express the nation's deep sorrow for the deaths of the martyrs who sacrificed their lives fighting the COVID-19 and people who died because of the outbreak.
全國範圍內，上午10點開始長達三分鐘的默哀。舉行全國哀悼日是為了表達國家的深切哀痛，以紀念那些為抗擊COVID-19而犧牲的烈士和逝世同胞。
The disease caused by a new coronavirus was first detected in China in late 2019 before it developed into a global pandemic that has killed more than 3,300 people in the country and infected more than a million worldwide.
由新型冠狀病毒引起的疾病於2019年底在中國首次發現的，然後發展成為全球性流行，死亡3300多人，全球感染人數愈100萬。
