1996年，我在追著看一部叫《北京夏天》電視劇，許群航和劉石他們發生在北京林業大學裡的校園生活和愛情故事，讓人對大學生活充滿嚮往。北京林業大學後來我去過很多次，在那裡能記起電視劇裡的一些情節。
同時我還在迷著一本叫《花季雨季》的小說，故事描述的是幾個深圳中學生的學習愛情成長的故事，王笑天和劉夏的新潮的中學生愛情是很吸引我的。
當然如果同一時間，只能做一件事情。那我會毫不猶豫選擇收看《足球之夜》。
《足球之夜》每週四晚上八點半播出。由於我在廠礦學校唸書，當時一個廠礦就是一個小社會，我們廠礦的作息時間要領先社會兩天，所以社會週四剛好是我們廠礦學校的週六，週六晚八點半的黃金時間，對我來說棒極了。
《足球之夜》宣傳語叫“球迷每週的節日”。放在今日，未免誇張，但在當時那個沒有網絡的年代，這句口號也並不為過。在每一個週末夜晚，劉建宏、張斌帶我走進足球的世界。
習慣了中央臺宋世雄、孫正平解說風格的觀眾，都注意到中央臺來了一個叫黃健翔新的體育解說。從此央視的足球解說再也不是“球從5號傳給了8號”“好球，球進了”。這個叫黃健翔的解說員解說時候給觀眾介紹足球的歷史，流派，打法，會根據場上形勢的變化揣測教練員的下一步戰術意圖。伴隨他的解說，我度過了一個愉快的歐洲盃足球夏天。
那個夏天的歐洲盃，東道主英格蘭不再長傳衝吊，而是踢出了和他們前輩完全不一樣的足球風格。他們球風華麗，傳切嫻熟。在夏日的陽光下，加斯科因不等皮球落地，挑球、過人、射門，談笑間就讓蘇格蘭的防線土崩瓦解。同時我也很欣賞阿蘭希勒的果決和麥克馬拉曼的飄逸。
捷克隊也給我留下了深刻印象，他們延續了每屆比賽必有東歐球隊表現出色的傳統。年輕球員內德維德，波博斯基，斯米切爾從此在世界足壇迅速躥升，成為捷克足球的黃金一代。
帶著94年世界盃失利陰影的德國隊，是一隻哀兵。由於傷病，他們一度只有三個替補可以輪換。遭遇強大的英格蘭，德國靠點球贏得很僥倖。但再一次印證了萊因克爾的名言：足球比賽就是綠茵場上22個人在90分鐘內圍著一個足球踢來踢去，最後總是由德國人贏得勝利的遊戲。
決賽時，德國隊比埃爾霍夫作為替補球員上場，最後時候打進世界上第一粒金球，使他名留青史。搞笑的是，他是在主教練福格茨的太太的推薦下才作為最後一名人選徵召入隊的。
福格茨太太對福格茨說，“帶上那個大個子去歐洲盃吧，你會走運的”。果然，遇事不決，聽老婆的一般不會錯。
那個夏天還有亞特蘭大奧運會，中國女足踢出了中國人（含男足）最漂亮的足球。孫雯的靈氣、劉愛玲的組織、趙利紅的突破都是世界級的。那群姑娘就代表了迄今為止中國足球的最高水平。
特別是3:2逆轉巴西隊的那場，百轉千回，蕩氣迴腸。這放在男足身上，做夢都不敢想。
在奧運男子賽場，巴西同樣被打敗，打敗他們的是一個由心臟病人卡努領銜的尼日利亞隊。那場比賽巴西隊有個叫裡瓦爾多的小將發揮失常，出現了一個致命失誤讓尼日利亞隊抓住。
以上所有這些美妙時光，都是在伴隨黃健翔的精彩解說的度過的。所以即便10年後，當他喊出“偉大的左後衛”、“你不是一個人在戰鬥的時候”，我也能接受。
那一年，有一個叫羅納爾多的年輕人橫空出世了，彷彿一夜之間，電視上全部都在播放他被後衛各種拉扯球衣拉不住、被各種關門防守防不住，把守門員過個乾乾淨淨的視頻。如果說我們之前欣賞足球是看人類高水平運動員在表演，那羅納爾多的出現，真得讓我感覺他是外星人，一個速度、力量、嗅覺遠高於人類的外星人。他那種高過所有人類足球運動員的水平，對球迷的震撼，是遠遠超過後來的梅西、C羅和如今的姆巴佩的。
那一年，阿賈克斯繼1995年奪得歐冠後，又一次站到了歐冠決賽的賽場。他們的對手是另一隻意大利球隊尤文圖斯。但是勝利者這回輪到了尤文圖斯。阿賈克斯的年輕人一定不會甘心，想等到明年復仇。但他們沒有意識到，一個影響足壇最深遠的小事件在當年發生了。博斯曼法案，禁止球隊收取合同到期球員的轉會費，這一條款對阿賈克斯傷害最大。從此阿賈克斯的青年才俊散作滿天星，紛紛加盟其他歐洲豪門。
從今以後，阿賈克斯再有沒有出現在歐冠決賽的舞臺上了。他們最接近這個舞臺是2019年，然而在傷停補時最後一分鐘，他們的夢想被熱刺隊盧卡斯打碎了。

In 1996, I was fascinated by a TV play called “Beijing Summer” ,The campus life and love stories of Xu Qunhang and Liu Shi in Beijing Forestry University make me yearn for university life.I went to Beijing Forestry University many times later, where I can remember some of the details in the TV.

“Football Night” is broadcasted at 8:30 p.m. every Thursday nights. Since I studied in the factory school, at that time the factory was a small society, andmy factory 's work and rest time should be two days ahead of the society. so the society Thursday happened to be the Saturday of ours.The golden time of 8:30 p.m. on Saturday night, great for me.
The slogan of “Football Night” is "Fans' festival every week". Today, it's exaggerated, but in the era when there was no internet, this slogan was realistic.Every weekend night, Liu Jianhong and Zhang Bin took me into the world of football.

At the same time, I also appreciate Alan Shearer's decision and McManaman's elegance.
Czech , which continued the tradition of Eastern European teams performing well in every game,impressed me.Young players Nedved, Poborsky and Smicer rapidly rised, and became the Golden Generation of Czech football.
Germany, defeated in 1994, is not a Favourite team. They had only three substitutes in some matchs. Semi final Vs England, they were lucky to win on penalties.
