1996年，我在追着看一部叫《北京夏天》电视剧，许群航和刘石他们发生在北京林业大学里的校园生活和爱情故事，让人对大学生活充满向往。北京林业大学后来我去过很多次，在那里能记起电视剧里的一些情节。
同时我还在迷着一本叫《花季雨季》的小说，故事描述的是几个深圳中学生的学习爱情成长的故事，王笑天和刘夏的新潮的中学生爱情是很吸引我的。
当然如果同一时间，只能做一件事情。那我会毫不犹豫选择收看《足球之夜》。
《足球之夜》每周四晚上八点半播出。由于我在厂矿学校念书，当时一个厂矿就是一个小社会，我们厂矿的作息时间要领先社会两天，所以社会周四刚好是我们厂矿学校的周六，周六晚八点半的黄金时间，对我来说棒极了。
《足球之夜》宣传语叫“球迷每周的节日”。放在今日，未免夸张，但在当时那个没有网络的年代，这句口号也并不为过。在每一个周末夜晚，刘建宏、张斌带我走进足球的世界。
习惯了中央台宋世雄、孙正平解说风格的观众，都注意到中央台来了一个叫黄健翔新的体育解说。从此央视的足球解说再也不是“球从5号传给了8号”“好球，球进了”。这个叫黄健翔的解说员解说时候给观众介绍足球的历史，流派，打法，会根据场上形势的变化揣测教练员的下一步战术意图。伴随他的解说，我度过了一个愉快的欧洲杯足球夏天。
那个夏天的欧洲杯，东道主英格兰不再长传冲吊，而是踢出了和他们前辈完全不一样的足球风格。他们球风华丽，传切娴熟。在夏日的阳光下，加斯科因不等皮球落地，挑球、过人、射门，谈笑间就让苏格兰的防线土崩瓦解。同时我也很欣赏阿兰希勒的果决和麦克马拉曼的飘逸。
捷克队也给我留下了深刻印象，他们延续了每届比赛必有东欧球队表现出色的传统。年轻球员内德维德，波博斯基，斯米切尔从此在世界足坛迅速蹿升，成为捷克足球的黄金一代。
带着94年世界杯失利阴影的德国队，是一只哀兵。由于伤病，他们一度只有三个替补可以轮换。遭遇强大的英格兰，德国靠点球赢得很侥幸。但再一次印证了莱因克尔的名言：足球比赛就是绿茵场上22个人在90分钟内围着一个足球踢来踢去，最后总是由德国人赢得胜利的游戏。
决赛时，德国队比埃尔霍夫作为替补球员上场，最后时候打进世界上第一粒金球，使他名留青史。搞笑的是，他是在主教练福格茨的太太的推荐下才作为最后一名人选征召入队的。
福格茨太太对福格茨说，“带上那个大个子去欧洲杯吧，你会走运的”。果然，遇事不决，听老婆的一般不会错。
那个夏天还有亚特兰大奥运会，中国女足踢出了中国人（含男足）最漂亮的足球。孙雯的灵气、刘爱玲的组织、赵利红的突破都是世界级的。那群姑娘就代表了迄今为止中国足球的最高水平。
特别是3:2逆转巴西队的那场，百转千回，荡气回肠。这放在男足身上，做梦都不敢想。
在奥运男子赛场，巴西同样被打败，打败他们的是一个由心脏病人卡努领衔的尼日利亚队。那场比赛巴西队有个叫里瓦尔多的小将发挥失常，出现了一个致命失误让尼日利亚队抓住。
以上所有这些美妙时光，都是在伴随黄健翔的精彩解说的度过的。所以即便10年后，当他喊出“伟大的左后卫”、“你不是一个人在战斗的时候”，我也能接受。
那一年，有一个叫罗纳尔多的年轻人横空出世了，仿佛一夜之间，电视上全部都在播放他被后卫各种拉扯球衣拉不住、被各种关门防守防不住，把守门员过个干干净净的视频。如果说我们之前欣赏足球是看人类高水平运动员在表演，那罗纳尔多的出现，真得让我感觉他是外星人，一个速度、力量、嗅觉远高于人类的外星人。他那种高过所有人类足球运动员的水平，对球迷的震撼，是远远超过后来的梅西、C罗和如今的姆巴佩的。
那一年，阿贾克斯继1995年夺得欧冠后，又一次站到了欧冠决赛的赛场。他们的对手是另一只意大利球队尤文图斯。但是胜利者这回轮到了尤文图斯。阿贾克斯的年轻人一定不会甘心，想等到明年复仇。但他们没有意识到，一个影响足坛最深远的小事件在当年发生了。博斯曼法案，禁止球队收取合同到期球员的转会费，这一条款对阿贾克斯伤害最大。从此阿贾克斯的青年才俊散作满天星，纷纷加盟其他欧洲豪门。
从今以后，阿贾克斯再有没有出现在欧冠决赛的舞台上了。他们最接近这个舞台是2019年，然而在伤停补时最后一分钟，他们的梦想被热刺队卢卡斯打碎了。

In 1996, I was fascinated by a TV play called “Beijing Summer” ,The campus life and love stories of Xu Qunhang and Liu Shi in Beijing Forestry University make me yearn for university life.I went to Beijing Forestry University many times later, where I can remember some of the details in the TV.
